Can't Sleep? Introducing Green Serene Delta 8

Hi everyone,

I blogged about 6 tips for a better night’s sleep back in July. I am pleased to announce tip #7:  Green Serene Delta 8.

To get a good night’s sleep,  you have to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Green Serene Delta 8 contains Delta 8 to help you fall asleep and CBD to help you stay asleep.

Here is how it works.

A small pea sized gland located in the brain (called the Pineal gland) controls our wake-sleep cycle.  The Pineal gland monitors incoming light levels from the eyes. As light intensity falls, the light sensitive cells trigger an eicosanoid cascade that tells other cells in the gland it is time to produce a hormone called melatonin.  Typically melatonin levels naturally peak about two hours before bedtime.

Eicosanoids are chemical signals that allow cells to communicate with each other.  Phytocannabinoids, such as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) delta 8 and CBD, play a vital role as precursors to make an eicosanoid called prostaglandin.  Prostaglandin instructs cells in the Pineal gland it is time to make melatonin.

Melatonin has a very short half-life of 20-40 minutes.  That means if your Pineal gland makes 1 unit of melatonin then your body uses (metabolizes) half of that amount in the first 30 minutes.  Melatonin supplements help you fall asleep but do little to help promote sleep throughout the night.

Green Serene Delta 8 has two active compounds:  Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) Delta 8 and CBD.

Delta 8 is a powerful enabler of prostaglandin production which instructs the Pineal gland to make melatonin.   Delta 8 has very short half-life of 30 minutes and like melatonin supplements, helps you fall asleep but not stay asleep.

CBD, however,  has an 18 hour half-life boosting prostaglandin levels throughout the night. Elevated prostaglandin will continue to instruct the Pineal gland to make melatonin helping you stay asleep.

Given the short half-life of Delta 8,  I recommend you take a few to several drops of Green Serene Delta 8 after dinner and about an hour before you want to go to bed.

Promoting your Pineal gland’s ability to make melatonin when it is time to fall asleep and throughout the night is a natural and powerful way to get a great sleep.

Stay Healthy,

Amy
